SUSTAINABILITY

Our towels are the perfect mix of practical and earth friendly! Every single one of our towels is made from 80% recycled polyester - taking all them empty plastic bottles directly from beaches or landfill and turning them into sustainable items for everyday use!

At Sand&Sea Australia our towels go through a production method which takes plastic bottles from post consumer waste, they have it cleaned, shredded, melted and then spun into material that is reusable, such as Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (rPET) which is ultimately the material that makes our beautiful towels! This process in itself is also a lot better then other conventional methods of fibre production.

Plastic waste is a major global issue that requires drastic action, rethinking of design ideas and recycling strategies. That's why when we started Sand&Sea Australia it was vital that we used eco friendly material so that we do our part for the planet. We only have one home and we all need to do whatever we can to protect our planet - for our beautiful wildlife and our future generations!
